Healing Hypnotic Body Scan
A couple of weeks ago, I created a Body Scan self-hypnosis audio track for one of my clients during a hypnosis session. If you’re unfamiliar with a Body Scan, it is a common meditative practice that involves “scanning” the body from head to toe (or toe to head) while noticing sensations and emotions. It can also be part of a progressive relaxation technique.
AI Astrology for the New Moon
While preparing my new moon rituals, it occurred to me that I could query AI about my chart and the placements of planets and signs. I was quite impressed and inspired by the results and decided to share them with you so that you might access some insights for your own purposes. I submitted the exact same prompt to three different IA resources. If you would like to do the same check out the post. This should work for any Moon phase or astrological event. Have fun!

Alchemize Leaden Goals into Golden Outcomes
So, what if we were to entrain our minds in a purposefully designed media trance? I have found video vision boards far more potent than the paper collage versions we often create to manifest our dreams. Mind Movies are also fun and easy to make. A comment I get over and over again during my client sessions is “This is so much fun!” Yes, it is.

Mid-Year Review: 30-Day Info Diet
Unsurprisingly, my mid-year review helped reveal my overconsumption of media and information. It’s been creeping back up since my last Digital Detox at the beginning of 2023, and past experience has proven to me that getting a handle on my media consumption will help reduce info overload, increase focus, and create a healthier relationship with technology. So, I’m kicking off the second half of 2023 with a 30-Day Information Diet which involves intentionally limiting my exposure to excessive information and consuming content more mindfully.
Mid-Year Review: Digital Declutter
I started the year with massive decluttering projects, and then my workload and caregiving derailed the process to smatterings of effort. With Summer bringing me a renewed sense of spaciousness, I’m ready to return to intensive clutter clearing. My first focused effort will be on digital decluttering. (I heard some of you audibly groan. 😹) I know that making progress in organizing and simplifying my tech life will bring a new level of mental clarity. I need that!

Amplify Gratitude ~ Free Audio
Last week I had the honor of presenting a hypnosis workshop to a class at the University of Maine on healing childhood trauma. As part of that experience, I took them on a self-hypnosis journey of gratitude and joy. I was able to isolate the 22-minute audio from the Zoom recording and make it available for reuse. I’m including it here for you to download.
Digital Detox: Dopamine Fasting
For those of you who haven’t encountered the term “Dopamine Fast,” it’s a period during which a person abstains from all activities that trigger dopamine release. These activities can include social media, video games, media streaming, and email. Yes, you read that right – you are getting a dopamine hit every time you check your email.
Digital Detox: Hit the Reset Button
Denial, Rationalization, Justification, and Dopamine… Let’s start by getting our heads in the game so that we can successfully bring our bodies on board. We have a dopamine problem. I’m not making that up - there are more books and articles published on the subject every day.
